Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. 1
Open the A11y Scan side panel.
  2. 2
Select the Observer Mode preset card (alongside Multi-Viewport and Site Crawl).
  3. 3
Accept the one-time privacy notice — Observer Mode stores data locally only, nothing is sent anywhere.
  4. 4
Click Start Scan — the scan runs AND is recorded in the Observer tab. Every manual scan while Observer is active gets logged.
  5. 5
Now browse the demo mini-site: start at the Observer Mode hub, then click through to About, Products, and Contact.
  6. 6
Each page you navigate to is automatically scanned. Watch the Observer tab update live.
  7. 7
Click any row to expand the full violation list for that scan.
  8. 8
Navigate back to a page you already scanned and click Start Scan again — a new entry appears with a new timestamp. Each scan is a snapshot, not an overwrite.
  9. 9
Use the domain filter and minimum-issues filter to narrow results.
  10. 10
Click ↓ Export JSON to download the full history.
  11. 11
Open the gear icon → scroll to Observer Mode settings to configure include/exclude domains, throttle, WCAG level, and max history.
