A11y Scan help
Run a page scan and investigate findings
Choose a WCAG target, scan the current page, and use each result to inspect the affected element in context.

Open an HTTP or HTTPS page you are allowed to test, then open A11y Scan in Chrome's side panel. In Scan, choose the WCAG version and conformance level, then start the page scan.
Review the severity summary and findings. Open a finding for its explanation, rule reference, and affected element details. Choose an affected element to scroll the page to it and highlight it. If the page changed after the scan, run the scan again before relying on the element location.
Automated checks cover only the rules they can evaluate in the rendered page state. Confirm findings yourself, test keyboard interaction, and use assistive technology where appropriate. A clean scan is not proof of WCAG conformance.
Export or compare a run
Use the export controls to save JSON, HTML, or a printable report. Saved runs stay in this Chrome profile; review exports before sharing because they can include page URLs and finding details.
