Free to use and availability

A11y Scan is free to use. The extension and website tools do not require an account, subscription, or payment. Features are provided as available and may change as the service is maintained.

The beta may contain errors. Features, browser support and availability can change as the product develops. There is no promise of continuous availability or a particular support response time. The beta status page identifies current capabilities and limitations.

Scan only with permission

Use the extension on websites and environments you own or are authorized to test. You are responsible for that authorization, the scope and timing of a crawl, and any credentials you choose to use. Respect the target website's rules, access controls and resources. Do not use A11y Scan to gain unauthorized access, disrupt a service, collect other people's private data, or send abusive or unlawful content.

Crawls navigate pages and can load third-party resources. Multi-viewport scanning resizes the browser window. Mock responses can change page behavior during a scan. Review the effective configuration before running, especially on a live system. A JSON profile can configure supported scanner capabilities; it is not a way to install arbitrary executable checks.

Results need human review

Automated checks identify some accessibility problems and may miss others or flag content that needs context. A scan, score, export or AI explanation is not a certification of WCAG conformance or a determination of compliance with any law. Combine automated checks with manual testing, assistive technology testing and review by people with relevant experience.

Optional AI conversation depends on your browser's supported local AI capability and may be unavailable. AI responses can be inaccurate. Review suggested changes before relying on them. The extension does not treat AI replies as verified findings or automatically change your scan results.

Your configurations, reports and data

You retain your rights in your own content, configurations and reports. Saving or exporting a profile does not transfer ownership to YantraKit. You are responsible for deciding what to save, export or share and for keeping your own copies. Reports and mock response bodies can contain information from the scanned site; review them before sharing.

The website privacy notice and extension data-handling notice describe current data flows, optional website analytics, local storage and feedback delivery. Website analytics is separate from extension scans. Browser, hosting and other service providers also have their own terms and policies.

Feedback and third-party material

You may send feedback, bugs and feature requests through Support. Requests do not create a commitment to deliver a feature or a deadline. Do not include passwords or unnecessary confidential information. We may use your suggestions to improve A11y Scan.

Third-party libraries, browser capabilities, linked resources and example material remain subject to their respective licenses and terms. The extension package includes applicable third-party notices. Demo pages deliberately contain accessibility defects and fictitious examples; they are testing material, not recommended production patterns.
