Discuss a finding with on-device AI

Ask Chrome's built-in model about a selected result when the model is available in your browser.

What you will get

You will have a conversation grounded in a bounded summary of the current scan, with the original finding still available for verification.

Follow these steps

  1. Run a page scan on the demo fixture and open a finding you want to understand.

  2. Choose Ask AI on that finding or open AI Chat. Check the tab's availability message before starting a conversation.

  3. If Chrome offers its built-in model, start AI and complete any browser-managed download. If the model is unavailable, the tab explains that conversation cannot start.

  4. Ask what the selected result means or how you might fix it. Compare the answer with the rule guidance and the affected element.

  5. Return to Results to verify the original evidence. Treat the AI text as an explanation, not a new scan result or a compliance verdict.

Check your result

  • Is the answer about the current scan or selected finding?
  • Can you trace the advice back to the actual affected element?
  • Does the tab clearly explain an unsupported model state?
