Run your first page scan

Scan a controlled page, inspect one finding, and separate automated evidence from human review.

What you will get

You will have a scan result tied to the page and settings you selected, plus an affected element you can locate on the page.

Follow these steps

  1. Open the demo page in Chrome with the published A11y Scan extension installed. Open the extension side panel on that tab.

  2. In Scan, choose the WCAG version and level you want to check. Keep the default single-page mode for this first run.

  3. Select Scan Page and wait for Results. The page contains intentional accessibility issues, so you should see findings to explore.

  4. Open a finding. Read its impact, rule explanation, affected element, and linked guidance. Use the highlight action to locate the element on the page.

  5. Review incomplete checks and the Manual and ARIA sections as separate prompts for human judgment. Export JSON if you want a portable record of this run.

Check your result

  • Does the finding refer to the page you opened?
  • Can you locate the affected element?
  • Which parts of the result still need human verification?
